After 10 years of innovating, experimenting, and trying new things in one of the world’s strongest coffee cultures, we’ve reached a moment we always knew would come… we just never knew when or how.
As we celebrate 10 years of Morrisons, we also want to share that our final day of trading will be Thursday 29 May.
Over the years, Morrisons evolved with us. From eclectic brunch dishes to fully embracing Latin American flavours, we brought back memories from childhood and recreated flavours we didn’t learn in culinary school or professional kitchens, but around the kitchen table at home.
Along the way, we learned that a café is much more than a business. It becomes a safe space. A place where people connect, where friendships are built, where families grow, where routines become traditions, and where a community finds a home.
We survived COVID together and navigated all the uncertainty that followed. Through every challenge, we kept showing up every day with commitment and conviction, believing that after a cup of coffee and a smile, everything would somehow be okay.
Today, we simply want to say thank you.
Thank you for choosing us, supporting us, bringing your families, meeting friends here, and making Morrisons part of your lives.
Thank you for opening your hearts and allowing us to give the very best of ourselves. We grew up together. Some of you are still here. Some of you are somewhere else in the world, still following our stories, maybe laughing with us from another neighbourhood or another time zone. All we have is gratitude and incredible memories.
If we could, we would continue doing this forever. But life sometimes has different plans, and now it’s time for someone else to continue bringing joy to this lovely corner of Hawthorn.
West Hawthorn, you will always be part of us.
