The fire on Thursday tore through the Sundowner and took so much with it — including the KENO Weber BBQ that so many of you were in the draw for due to be drawn today.

We still went through the wreckage and managed to save some of the Father’s Day Keno tickets. We promised a draw, and we’re keeping that promise the only way we can right now.

The four $100 Bunnings gift cards will be given as virtual cards. Winning tickets are below.

CONGRATULATIONS - Glenn, Ken, Maree & Mark - We'll call you this week to organise your prize!

Thanks to everyone who participated & Happy Father's Day to all the Dads!

❤️❤️❤️

Nothing worse than seeing a pub burn down.
But a PINK PUB WITH A GIANT BUNDY BOTTLE OUT THE FRONT?! 😩

Look at the poor bastard.

This is Falvey’s Sundowner Saloon in Haigslea, Queensland, and I’m sorry but this joint is so fu***ng Australian it may as well have been issued a birth certificate by Bob Hawke.

She’s pink. There’s a ###X sign on the roof. Pokies inside. Drive-thru grog. And a Bundy bottle out the front that looks capable of supplying Ipswich with rum until Christmas.

And now she’s bloody burnt.
Obviously the owners have said the pub will be back, which is exactly the response you’d expect from a Queensland pub. No carrying on. No dramatic farewell.

“Yeah she’s absolutely rooted. Anyway, see ya when we reopen.”

But can we please spare a thought for Robbo.
Robbo has been sitting on the same stool at the end of the bar every Friday since 1997. His arse is permanently moulded into the vinyl. He doesn’t even order anymore. Shazza sees his HiLux pull in and starts pouring.

Where is Robbo going to go now?
You can’t just send him to another pub. That’s not how this works. He’s got a stool. He’s got a system. He knows which pokie is “about to hit”. He’s been telling everyone the same story about nearly punching on with a bloke at the Ipswich Cup for 14 years.

The man has infrastructure.

And what about the bloke who says “just one” at 3:30pm and somehow finds himself still there at 9:47 eating a packet of salt and vinegar chips for dinner?

Displaced.

So yeah, the Little Pink Pub has taken an absolute flogging, but apparently she’ll be back.

And she bloody better be.
Because Australia has plenty of pubs.
But we simply cannot afford to start losing the ones that are bright pink with a Bundy bottle the size of a small lighthouse out the front.

That’s heritage as far as I’m concerned.

Get Robbo’s stool in storage. We rebuild. 🇦🇺🍺💗

Stay unhinged, legends ✌🏼

We've suffered a catastrophic loss this morning but our team is safe and that's all that matters right now.
We don't know when exactly but rest assured the Little Pink Pub with a BIG Bundy Bottle will be back!

Ps. Special thanks to the Emergency services - it's a tremendous job they do!
