We supply the beans and Louise supplies the very cute cups.

It Takes A Village bring the two together, serving up Vice in Louise’s handmade ceramics.

And if you like the cup as much as the coffee, you’re in luck. Both coffee and ceramics are available to buy at the café ☕️

Turns out starting a coffee business with one of your best mates means you end up spending a LOT of time together.

Fortunately, we still put up with each other ❤️

Much like you, we prefer our coffee tins full.

Our reusable tins hold up to 400g of coffee and are designed to be refilled again and again, cutting down on the single-use packaging that comes with keeping yourself adequately caffeinated.

It Takes A Village are on board where you can bring your tin back for a refill, or BYO container and they’ll fill it by the 100g 🫘♻️

Our friends at It Takes A Village are pouring Vice in Edwardstown.

If you’re nearby and someone suggests coffee, you know what to do. And if no one suggests coffee, you also know what to do.

— BASIC BABE —

Basic by name, not by nature.

Our flagship blend brings milk chocolate, Milo and hazelnut, with just enough acidity to cut through milk and make a bloody good espresso. She’s made up of three estate coffees from Brazil and Colombia, all produced by women which is about as Vice as you can get.

Beans go in. Very good coffee comes out.

Roasting is equal parts instinct, experience, and precision. We’ve spent a lot of time getting to know our coffees and figuring out exactly what brings out the best in each one. Coffee also happens to bring out the best in us.

We’ve been told there are people who wake up and just… start their day.

No coffee. No ritual. No beverage standing between them and consciousness.

Couldn’t be us ☕️
