WE ARE HIRING!
Hahn & Hamlin is a small 30 seat restaurant and wine bar in the Adelaide Hills dedicated to showcasing premium South Australian food, wine & spirits.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a Chef to lead the kitchen for our Sunday lunch service.
The position available is for a Sunday shift approx. 11am – 4/5pm. However, we do have additional shifts available if desired.
To be successful in this role you will need to be able to prepare menu items to the required standards, manage a kitchen autonomously, work co-operatively with front of house staff, and liaise with the Head Chef regarding daily specials, stock management etc.
The role will start on a casual basis, with wages paid at Restaurant Award rates. After a successful introductory period, a permanent part time position can be negotiated if desired.
Shifts are available immediately.
THE CANDIDATE
Successful candidates will possess four key attributes.
1. A genuine passion for serving exceptional quality food.
2. Sufficient experience in like-minded establishments to have the skills and knowledge to effectively manage a kitchen autonomously.
3. Be a person of good character – honest, reliable, possess a positive, proactive attitude, and act respectfully towards staff and guests. Embrace working as part of a small team and be willing to wash dishes, mop floors etc.
4. A strong knowledge of local food and wine is highly desirable.
