Seems like we had a few more special visitors at Southside Kebabs last night… 👀

These lovely individuals decided to make their way around the back of our shop and entertain themselves by throwing our things around and making a mess.

Not quite sure what the purpose was, but unfortunately for them, the cameras were watching. 📹👀

If anyone recognises our late-night visitors, please get in touch with us privately.

It would be great if people could simply respect local businesses and other people’s property. 🙏

Sunday night, our family business was broken into.

While there is financial damage, the biggest impact isn’t the money it’s the emotional and mental toll. Instead of opening our doors and serving our customers, our day was spent with police, forensic officers, insurance companies, repairs, and cleaning up the mess.

Running a small business isn’t just a job it’s our livelihood. Incidents like this affect not only the owners, but our staff, our families, and the community that supports us. Lost trading hours, repairs, increased costs, and the stress that follows are things many people never see.

Our local businesses create jobs, support local sporting clubs, sponsor community events, pay taxes, and help keep our towns alive. Every time a small business is targeted, it’s not just one business that suffers it’s the entire community that feels the impact.

It’s also frustrating to see these types of crimes continue, with many believing there isn’t enough accountability for repeat youth offenders. While young people deserve opportunities to turn their lives around, hardworking families and small businesses also deserve to feel safe and protected.

Despite this setback, we’ll keep moving forward.

To everyone who has reached out, offered help, or simply checked in on us we would like to thank you from the bottom of our heart. And to our amazing regular customers, your patience, loyalty, and support mean more than you’ll ever know. We truly appreciate every one of you.
