m. Our lunch menu entices the taste buds with a range of hearty country meals using produce (if not grown in the cafes courtyard garden), sourced from local producers. We also have an ever changing blackboard menu offering daily specials. For the burger lovers, you will be delighted by our variety of burgers, including our very own Merino lamb burger. Our friendly team are always available to answer any of your questions.

Caramel Slice Recipe 🍫

BASE
1 cup self raising flour
1 cup desiccated coconut
1/2 cup brown sugar
160g butter, melted

Mix ingredients, press into slice tray (21cm x 31cm) that has been lined with baking paper.
Bake at 160c for 15-20 minutes. Chill.

FILLING
1 tin condensed milk
3 tbls golden syrup
20g butter

Cook in microwave 1 minute, stir, back in microwave 30 seconds, stir, back in microwave 30 seconds, stir then spread over chilled base

TOPPING
1 x cup Cadbury milk chocolate. Melt in glass Pyrex measuring cup at 30 second intervals until melted and smooth. Spread over filling and refrigerate 👩‍🍳🫶

A little something close to my heart 🤍

This place holds 19 years of memories, community, laughter, and so much love.

We’ve poured our hearts into creating something really special here in Gunning, and while we’re not going anywhere anytime soon (and it’s very much business as usual ☕️), we feel it’s time to gently open the door to what the future could look like.

We’re offering this space as a rare opportunity for someone else to one day continue its story, not only to own the cafe but to own the building, live upstairs, work downstairs, and become part of this beautiful community just as we have.

It’s not goodbye, not even close 🤍
Just the beginning of a new chapter, whenever the right person comes along.
