Cake Science with Simona Boca

Cake Science with Simona Boca French trained pastry chef with a PhD in science and a Cert 4 in training and assessment. The classes can be face to face or online (1 to 6 people).

At cake science we bake french style cakes, tarts, cookies, macarons and confectionery to suit your event (birthday, wedding, catering, baby shower, etc). We do offer gluten free, dairy free, nut free and refined sugar free options but we work from a small kitchen where we bake all our products that contain wheat, diary and nuts, so traces can occur. With a diploma in teaching, we offer quality baking classes (adults and children) where we teach you the beauty of french patisseries! Baking with us can also be a different type of animation at hens parties or children birthdays (please pm us for more details).

For an exquisite dinner prepared by our top chef and hidden sommelier Nico, I had to prepare a dessert. I don't even want to tell you the pressure I had, considering I had very little material on hand, no pipping bags ( thanks god everyone has zip locks:)) and no time to shop for ingredients ...so I put together whatever I found in my inlaws kitchen. And I can say, it was pretty good what I managed to make with simple ingredients that every provençal person has:)

Layered honey cake was one I always wanted to successfully make but I wasn't fully satisfied. This time it really really pleased me .
So thank you again .eisler for sharing your beautiful recipes with us. After successfully making your hazelnut layered cake and your home made chocolate bar, I have no doubt that all your recipes are top notch.
I am going to make it on repeat and why not play with the fillings.

Mother's day macarons!!

Do you struggle to find that perfect present for mother's day? Or are you just not so organized this year?
Well, you can just surprise her with some delicious macarons (and maybe a beautiful hot coffee) when she wakes up Sunday morning. What better way to start a day!
