We’ve been a little quiet on socials lately, ngl.. it’s because there’s been a lot on our minds.
We’re not just a small family business trying to build a future for our next gen. We’re people who genuinely care about this community, this neighbourhood, and how we can continue to make it better every single day.
Right now, small businesses across Australia are facing wave after wave of change. Rising costs. Higher wages. Increased supplier prices. New regulations = more work = more staff. Tighter cash flow. The list feels endless.
The reality is that something has to give.
We’re not writing this for sympathy. We’re sharing it because we know we’re not alone. Behind every local café, restaurant, barber, florist, bakery and family-run shop is a family trying to make the numbers work while still showing up with a smile every day.
We don’t have all the answers yet. We don’t know exactly what the next chapter looks like.
But what we do know is this: we’re grateful for every coffee ordered, every meal shared, every recommendation made, and every person who chooses to support local.
