After much deliberation, the difficult decision has been made to close Urban Quarter Social Dining & Bar at 4pm Sunday 20th December.

A combination of being a 6-month-old business when Covid shut us down for three months, government support coming to an end and our ongoing reduced capacity from just over 100 people pre Covid to a limit of only 40 people have bought this decision on.

My goal was to enhance the dining scene of our town and to offer that city feel in the country, I am proud to say that I believe we achieved it.
This would never have been achieved if it weren’t for the current and former staff. I would have to be one of the luckiest employers, to have had the staff that I did over the years. You all inspired me every day with your ideas and enthusiasm, for providing a great customer experience and for that I will be forever grateful. I consider you extended family to me and I am proud of what we have accomplished.

I thank our guests for the loyalty, for the support, for the laughter and for the enjoyment you bring to us all every day. You are the reason we jump out of bed every day and enjoy our work.

As this chapter closes for Urban Quarter all I can say is thank you, it has been an honour, it has been fun and at times it has been tough but I couldn’t be more proud.
So for our final week of trade please come in so we can say thanks, good-bye and so you can enjoy the a Urban Quarter experience.
