While less than 100 per cent health wise I am choosing to master cooking techniques I have not had a crack at before. 2kg of USA pork ribs have been cooking with just a dry spice rub for 4 hours low and slow Just added the homemade BBQ Sauce for the final 20 minutes. Great to have an excuse to enjoy this stunning Woombye Gold Rind Cheese tonight. It recently won the top gong in Sydney at the Australian Food Awards in the Australian Cheese category.

We have some special treats this weekend.

The french La Dauphin Petit Double Creme cheese is back in limited numbers. This cheese is much loved by our customers on our bistro menu and through the Providore. It is beautiful paired with our housemade Beetroot, Orange and Clove Relish!

Freshly made Vanilla and Passionfruit Cakes and Dark Chocolate and Nut Entremets. Perfect with a cup of tea on a cold winter's days.

Of course our pates, olives and cheeses to round out your weekend platter.

Seafood each day until 5pm or until we sell out.

Another lovely stand up networking and lunch function held today for the University of Southern Qld - Toowoomba for their inaugural western tour.

At the Macintyre Boathouse we love helping patrons create wonderful experiences for their guests.

Whether it is a Business Event, Conference, Birthday, Wedding , Engagement, Christmas Party or just a gathering to enjoy family and friends we are here to help. We can host up to 75 people outside on the verandah and alfresco by the river. Our internal function room can seat up to 150 people.

We have packages that start at $35/head for a selection of starters and share plates or from $55/per head for three courses. We will create a food menu to suit your budget and food preferences that shall be inspired by our seasonal local and fresh produce menu that is updated regularly.

Loving cooking this at home tonight.

The bugs are lovely however it's the black garlic that landed this week from my cousin who grows it in NSW that takes it to the next level.

Such a simple meal to prepare and going straight on the BBQ grill.
