You loved our Winter Lunch Series so much, we couldn’t possibly leave it there… so we’re rolling straight into Spring ☀️🥂

Longer days, warmer afternoons and the perfect excuse for a long lunch at Hays St.

Think sunny tables, delicious plates, a cold glass of w**e (or two) and nowhere else you need to be. Spring on the Fleurieu is pretty hard to beat. 🌿

Tomorrow is the last day of our Winter Lunch Series! Grab a table tomorrow & enjoy a 2 or 3 course lunch. The series has been such a hit & although we are glad to say goodbye to winter & welcome spring we will miss cozy set menu lunches by the fire.

Sorry we’ve been a little MIA... we’ve had a very good reason. 🤍

Firstly, we’d love to introduce you to the newest member of the Hays St family – Louie Dene Cahill, born on 27.06.26, weighing 2.8kg. 💙

We are completely smitten and have been soaking up every moment of the newborn bubble.

A huge thank you to our incredible team, who have kept Hays St running, the drinks pouring and the fire burning while we’ve taken this precious time with our little family. We couldn’t have done it without you.

While we’ve been quiet on social media, there has been plenty happening behind the scenes!

✨ We are incredibly honoured to have been awarded an Australian Good Food Guide Readers’ Choice Award.

✨ We have also been shortlisted as a finalist in the Restaurant & Catering Hostplus Awards for Excellence (South Australia) in the European Restaurant category.

These achievements are a testament to our hardworking team and to every one of our wonderful, loyal guests. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your continued support—it truly means the world to us.

As part of the Fleurieu Food Festival, we’re partnering with Mosquito Hill Wines and Franklie Wines for a three-course long lunch celebrating the very best seasonal produce, perfectly paired with exceptional local w**es.

🎨 Throughout August, we’re also thrilled to welcome the incredibly talented Artist Sarah Keane Designs , whose exhibition By River & Sea will be on display at Hays St as part of SALA.

We’re excited to be back, to share what’s ahead, and most importantly, to welcome you through our doors.
