❤️ Introducing The Haven Pay It Forward Food Wallet ❤️

No one should have to choose between paying the bills and putting food on the table.

The Haven's Pay It Forward Food Wallet is a simple community-funded initiative that helps local families access affordable groceries while preserving dignity and encouraging community support.

How does it work?

🥫 Families register with Goodna Street Life and, once approved, are allocated a Food Wallet.

💰 Community members, local businesses and sponsors can contribute any amount—$5, $10, $20 or more—to a family's Food Wallet.

🛒 When that family visits The Haven Food Hub, the balance in their Food Wallet helps pay for their groceries, reducing the financial pressure on their household while ensuring they have access to essential food.

You can choose to:
❤️ Donate to the general Food Wallet, supporting families with the greatest need.
❤️ Sponsor a specific family (where appropriate).
❤️ Make a one-off donation or become a regular weekly or monthly supporter.

Every single dollar donated remains in the Food Wallet and goes directly towards helping local families access food.

Just like buying a stranger a coffee, your kindness can help put food on someone else's table. Small acts of generosity can make an enormous difference.

We appreciate the community that utilises our services knowing they go to serving those in need in our community

Queensland's social housing waitlists remain under significant pressure, with many applicants either homeless or at immediate risk of homelessness.🏠

While there is no official 2026 rough sleeper count for Goodna, local services continue to see increasing numbers of people experiencing homelessness, sleeping in cars, couch surfing, or living rough as housing affordability and rental shortages continue across the Ipswich region

This means every little bit counts, so we thank you for supporting us ❤️
