Introducing our new team member!

Hello everyone! My
name is Kollah and Iā€™m 17 years old. Iā€™ve been involved in poultry for over 9 years and am passionate about encouraging more young people to get involved in the fancy. I believe the next generation has so much to offer and plays a key role in the future of poultry.

I currently breed Bantam Black Langshans, Call Ducks, and Old English Game. Each breed has taught me different skills in care, breeding, and exhibition, and I really enjoy sharing what Iā€™ve learned with others.

As the Show Secretary for the Bantam Club of NSW, Iā€™ve helped modernise our shows by introducing online stewarding sheets and improving overall organisation. This year we saw a fantastic increase in junior entriesā€”especially in waterfowl.

Iā€™m also a proud member of the NSW Waterfowl Breeders Association and previously served as a Junior Stewardā€”a role designed to help young people showcase their knowledge and support others starting out. To make the show more inclusive, I helped introduce a photo competition for those who canā€™t exhibit birds, including members of the public, so more people can still feel involved.

Being part of something like the EPA is exciting because it allows me to represent youth in the poultry community, promote shows across the state, and continue supporting the growth of inclusive, engaging events. Iā€™m looking forward to sharing ideas, learning from others, and helping young people find their place in poultryā€”just like I did.

Bray won 4th out of 7 and kollah 1st and overall champion.
