After months of emails, phone calls and going around in circles, we’ve made the decision to leave DoorDash.
A significant amount of money earned through sales from OUR shop was redirected after our account was compromised. DoorDash has offered around 20% of the missing funds as a “good faith” payment, yet we still have no clear explanation as to how this happened, how the account details were changed, AND to which account they were being deposited to, and why the remaining money WE EARNED is not being returned.
I have reported the matter to Police, sought relevant advice and followed the appropriate channels available to me.
What has been incredibly frustrating is how difficult it has been to get meaningful assistance or accountability. Even those trying to assist with the matter have struggled to reach anyone directly, (SBC)with communication seemingly coming back through generic emails and repeated responses.
And that’s the bigger concern for me. When you’re a small business dealing with a huge company, where do you actually turn when something goes seriously wrong and nobody can give you an answer?
Months later, I still don’t have one.
So, we’re choosing not to continue with DoorDash.
If you normally order The Local Greek through DoorDash, please find us on Uber Eats Australia or, even better, order directly through us. 🇬🇷💙
Thank you for continuing to support small local businesses like ours. 🙏
