We will be closed today (Saturday 23/4/22) to celebrate the milestone Golden 50th Wedding Anniversary of this beautiful couple Rod and Annie. All 50 years have been spent here in Glenbrook raising their children and enjoying time with a whole gang of grandchildren. What a celebration we shall have!

PS Just quietly, we’ve had a warm up week and are now back 6 days a week 11am-4pm. No Mondays. This seems to be a pretty good home/life balance we’re finding ourselves in for now. Wowee, we are feeling the love from our community - so many kind words of support and encouragement. Thank you, lovelies 🥰

Welcome to the next episode , lovelies. Who knows where on earth this one is going to take us, huh?

Being mums is our full time job and we, as everyday humans, cannot physically hold down two full time jobs. (Kudos to you, our superhuman friends that manage this. We hope you are enjoying your ride 💜) To that end, our lovely little shop will have to become our part time job for a while. We’re hoping to make this compromise work for all parties involved. So if you want to party with us, we’ll be here on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11am-4pm. Speaking of people who know how to party, you’ll be seeing the familiar faces of our lovely staff - whom we thank from the bottoms of our cold, black hearts for re-joining us for all the sweet hangs.

Everybody everywhere is experiencing this evolving landscape differently. This is how our post-lockdown life has evolved and we’re looking forward to working towards a happy and healthy work/life balance. We’re looking forward to hearing your stories that’s we’ve missed out on over the last few months. We hope you swing by and say hi.

Hello again, lovelies. Well, we have made a very difficult decision to sell our little business. Our family needs us more than our lovely little shop. Man, it’s been a wild ride! We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported and believed in us. To our patient family who still love us despite not having seen much of us over the last 2 years, our lovely staff that taught us way more than we could ever have taught them, our hilarious fellow shopkeeps that kept us entertained with their shenanigans every day, our suppliers and delivery people who were always up for having a yarn with us out the back and of course our lovely customers - you kept coming back! You made this whole venture worth it! Seeing some of the young’uns build up the courage and confidence to come in and order things independently (with their parents watching on encouragingly outside) has definitely been a highlight. Oh the manners we have seen! So many stories, from people of all walks of life. We’re going to miss this so so much! 😢 Thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of our sad little hearts. 💔 We’ll see you all around the village. Cate & Lis ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤍🤎

Hello lovely people of Glenbrook and beyond!

Today is our last day of isolation, and all our staff have tested negative for COVID. We will not, however, be re-opening until government restrictions ease from this current level. We have consistently followed all the rules with the checking in, the continual sanitising, the social distancing and the mask wearing - as have all our customers - yet, here is where we have found ourselves - in isolation and unable to run our business remotely. Darn you to heck, COVID-19 🦠 !!!

We sincerely hope that the person at the centre of this scare is well and recovering - thank you for checking in, it really got this situation nipped in the bud! If anyone recognises Charlie (the gorgeous fella in our pic) - or know his human, old mate Polly, could you please let them know that we’re closed for a little while longer?

We hope you are all staying safe and coping with lockdown. We look forward to seeing you on the other side of this - we’ll be ready and raring to go when the time is right!

Some sh!tty news today. We’ve had a customer check in this week who has tested positive to this stinkin’ COVID. All our staff are awaiting our test results and self isolating. Y’all know it’s us two old ladies during the week, and we’ve been instructed to remain in isolation until the 20th. As a result we will have to remain closed at least until then. After that? Well who knows?! We said we’d roll with it…guess we’ll keep rollin’. Thanks for the messages of concern, we appreciate your support. Cate & Lis 🖤
