CELEBRATE BRITTANY!
On Saturday 16 May from 2pm, come to the garden at Crofters Cottage to join in an hour of celebration for the Celtic nation of Brittany! You'll see the Gwenn ha Du, the 'White and Black' flag flying proudly, as we hold our gathering for Gouel Breizh!
Gouel Breizh - Festival of Brittany - is held from 14 to 24 May 2026, in the days before and after St Erwan's Day - Gouel Sant Erwan - the patron saint of Brittany on 19 May. Over this period, Breton communities and their friends around the world will celebrate the rich Celtic culture and heritage of Brittany.
We are very fortunate to have genuine Breton cider to hold our toast, courtesy of Four Frogs Crêperie who were deliciously again at this year's Australian Celtic Festival - so come along for this and more! Did anyone say gâteau breton???
Brittany, Cornwall and Wales are the Brittonic Celtic nations, and all have a rich Celtic culture of sister languages, a shared history and legends of King Arthur and Merlin!
The Management Board holds gatherings to celebrate all six national days of the Celtic nations throughout the year with gatherings to toast the nation and its flag and enjoy traditional bakes.
Visitors to and locals alike - you're all welcome! See you there!
