You’re invited 🤍

We’re so excited to be hosting a very special Chino Club morning tomorrow as we celebrate International Midwives Day and 2 years of our incredible local Midwifery Group Practice ✨

Our café has always been a meeting place for mums, bubs and community, so it feels extra meaningful to open our doors for a morning that honours the midwives who support so many local families through such important moments in life.

📍 Join us at the café on May 5th from 9:30am
🚶‍♀️ Then wander together for a pram walk to Anzac Park
🧺 Picnic to follow from 10–11am

As a small thank you, all midwives will enjoy a free coffee on us 🤍

Bring your little ones, your picnic rug, and settle in for a relaxed morning of connection, conversation and community 💖

THE END OF AN ERA 🤍

The café has officially sold, and with that, it’s time for me to say goodbye and step back. It’s feeling very surreal to finally say it out loud 🥹

I bought this little café when I was 24, not long after I’d just met Tom, with a simple (and slightly naive) dream to serve good cuppas, sambos and cake. I had no idea then what it would grow into, or just how much it would shape me.

This place has been there through all of my biggest life moments. From finding love, getting engaged, getting married, and bringing our beautiful boy Bede into the world 💞

And with all of that, my team has been there too… this is the part that’s hardest to put into words. My team, past and present, you are everything 🥹 You’ve become like family to me, and I really did have a habit of collecting the most incredible humans along the way 💘

You showed up on the busy days, the quiet days, and all the in between ones. You cared about this place like it was your own, looked after our customers like old friends, and looked after me more times than you probably realise 🫶🏻 You brought your personalities into these walls and made it what it is. Warm, welcoming, a little bit chaotic, and full of heart. I’m so proud of each and every one of you, and so grateful for the role you’ve played in this journey. It truly wouldn’t have been what it was without you.

To the Glen Innes community. Thank you will never feel like enough 🙏🏼 Your support, your kindness, your familiar faces day in and day out… you’ve made this place what it is. You welcomed me at 24 and grew with me through every stage of life, and I will forever be grateful for that.

To Tom, Pruey & Brucey, and my family and friends. Thank you for backing me, helping me, picking me up on the hard days and celebrating the good ones. I truly couldn’t have done this without you 💗

As bittersweet as this is, I feel really ready for what’s next. I’m so excited to lean into my Mum era and soak up this time with Bede, something I don’t take for granted for a second.

I’m genuinely so excited for the new owner and what’s to come for this space. She has my full support, and I know she’s going to do an amazing job carrying it forward. It means a lot to me knowing it’s in good hands and I am looking forward to joining her on some collaborative projects in the future 🧀

I’ll be around over the next couple of weeks helping with the handover and making sure everything transitions smoothly, but my last official day will be tomorrow, Wednesday the 29th of April… which doesn’t quite feel real yet!! I will be in and out for the most part of the day for anyone who wants to stop by and have a chat or a cuppa! ☕️

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for every coffee, every chat and every moment. This little café gave me more than I ever gave it 🤍

💖LAYNO’S LAST DAY😭

How is this real? It’s a very bittersweet day at TCI today as our Layno has her last day before she ventures off into the big wide world that is sunny QLD 🌞

She walked into this place one person, and leaves it completely transformed. Through every high and low, she’s been the heart and warmth of TCI and our customers felt that every single day. Layno has been a deeply loved part of our TCI family, and while we’re devastated to see her go, we couldn’t be prouder of her for taking this next big step 🤍

Best of luck with this next grand adventure Layno. You truly can do anything you put your mind to and we are so excited to see what story lies ahead for you 💘

Please join us at the cafe today to have a cuppa for Layno’s very last day!! 😭💖☕️
