Today I stopped by The Hotspot Gisborne to pick up lunch for my team – and to say a big thank you to Muhammad.

When fires broke out last week, Muhammad opened his doors, offering free meals and refreshments to emergency service workers and any Victorians affected.

Even with a newborn at home, Muhammad’s thoughts were also with those in need.

Right across the state, we’ve seen an outpouring of generosity – from community groups to small businesses like The Hotspot Gisborne – supporting people facing some of the hardest days of their lives.

So thank you, Muhammad, and to everyone helping our state through this recovery.
