Great job to Farmer Fiona from BLOCK 275 - out and about spreading the good news about farming in the Mid West and that means also the Tastes of the Mid West. Great to also see Fiona with our regional neighbour, Doriana from Carnarvon Sweeter Banana from the Gascoyne food bowl as well. Well done Fiona! :)

It's Friday and that means local organic vegetables with Fiona & Anton at Wye Farm Organics and Tyford Farmhouse Dongara! Great to see their growing partnerships with other local Tastes of the Mid West producers including Sweet Acre Farm and Kingy Bay Olives! Well done team! :)

Our thanks to Kim and David from Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development and food labelling expert, Cheryl Hughes, for bringing a super food labelling workshop to the Mid West. Such an in-depth and interesting workshop on all things 'food labelling' with some great ideas coming out of the workshop. Thanks to all who attended the workshop and our Vice Chair Tegan who's on hand to record proceedings! :)

The next few weeks see a range of fantastic local foodie events across the Mid West.

Let's kick off with this fantastic event with the team from Burnt Barrel BBQ Restaurant. This weekend (26/27 September 2026) is the Smokin' Barrel Fest 2026 with a fantastic range of activities and competitions across the weekend.
