☕️ Anyone interested in some small-town landlord tea?

What happens when commercial tenants are expected to accept a lower standard simply because they operate in a small town?

What happens when serious building and maintenance concerns are repeatedly raised, promised work doesn’t happen, and responsibilities suddenly become somebody else’s problem when the bill is too big?

I’m not sharing the full story publicly just yet—but there is a story, and it is extensively documented.

☕️ MONDAY OPENING UPDATE ☕️

We fully intend to open at 9:00 am tomorrow.

Unfortunately, external plumbing repairs affecting the café’s water supply remain incomplete. Despite repeatedly requesting a confirmed attendance and water-restoration time, we have not been provided with one.

As the outstanding works are outside our control, we are currently unable to guarantee that normal coffee service will be available from 9:00 am.

We will update everyone as soon as we receive further information or confirmation that the water supply has been fully restored.

Thank you for bearing with us—we are just as eager to get the coffee flowing as you are. ☕️

We’ve heard the rumours, so let’s clear things up.

Yes, Dick & Co. is currently for sale.

The café is operating as normal, we’re still here making coffees, feeding people, and doing what we do every day.

For anyone wondering, we’re actively speaking with interested buyers and exploring our options. In the meantime, nothing changes for our customers.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past year and a bit. We’ve met some incredible people and genuinely appreciate the support we’ve received from the community.

And no, we’re not closing tomorrow. 😉
