Tomorrow marks the end of an incredible chapter, as officially changes hands.

After 5 amazing years, our time at Mayfield comes to an end tomorrow at 12pm. We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us, shared a coffee, and been part of the journey. It’s been an unforgettable ride.

The good news is you’ll still be able to enjoy our coffee at the café under its new owners, Josh and his wife Kate. Even better, you’ll see a familiar Josie face back behind the machine!

If you’re around, come down tomorrow and help us celebrate one last hurrah. We’d love to see you for a final coffee and say goodbye. 🎉☕

It’s a sad reflection of the times. , one of our very first wholesale accounts nearly 10 years ago, closed its doors on Friday.
We’re seeing this story more and more, rising costs, increased wages, and fewer customers through the door. The result is often the same: hardworking owners running out of energy and being forced to close.
When I visited Ange this week after the announcement, I heard customers asking, “Where are we going to go now? This is our place.”
That really says it all. So many local cafes and hospitality venues are struggling right now. If you value them, please support them, because they need it more than ever.

Don’t mistake that it hasn’t been and still is tough, but we are still kicking along and it’s been quite a ride. We are proud to be family owned and 100% independent in the crazy world of coffee that we live in. As a small business we strongly urge our customers to support other small independent businesses and help them thrive. It’s a difficult time for small businesses and any support will mean a lot. We think the best response is to be more clear, more open and more specific about what we’re actually doing. So we’re going to start publishing a yearly breakdown of every coffee lot we buy, including who we bought it from, the FOB price paid and our actual landed cost in AUD. Stay tuned 💕
