Fire. Feast. Winter air.
A long table on the longest night of the year 🌙

Our annual solstice gathering returns to Common Ground Project on Saturday 20 June — bringing together seasonality, music, candlelight and community for an evening that will awaken the senses.

Expect a three-course wood-fired menu celebrating produce from the farm, botanical drinks and local wines, live music, fire-twirling performances and an atmosphere that feels equal parts intimate and theatrical.

Every ticket helps support the next generation through Common Ground Project programs in 2027.

🍷 6–10pm Saturday 20 June
🌱 Common Ground Project, Freshwater Creek
🔥 Early bird ticket sales until 10 June or sold-out (which they did last year!)

When the world feels too fast, the answer is simple: dance harder.

For one night only, we’re throwing open the farmhouse doors for a proper old-school bush dance — think live local music, hay bales, denim, boots (and maybe a little sequin).

All-ages fun with a dance caller to guide you — no experience needed, just a willingness to let loose.

Food, bush cordials, local beer & wine available on the night.

📅 Friday 22 May, 6–9pm
📍 Common Ground Project, Freshwater Creek
🎟️ Kids $8 | Adults $15 | Family $35

Bring your people — or just yourself — and we’ll take care of the rest. Ticket link in our bio.

Where does your food come from? Or more specifically, who?

Buying from local farmers has always made more sense for the environment, but it’s not just about food miles anymore. It’s about being part of a system that’s closer to home, one that’s more resilient, practical, and grounded. We don’t all need to grow our own food. We already have local farmers doing that work, and doing it well.

Every time you choose to buy produce locally - from us or others - you’re helping make that system stronger and more accessible.

PS - the more farmers in the world, the better. Our Winter Farm Internship applications close 24 May. DM us if you’re interested.

Celebrating the vibrant colours and flavours of South America!

On Thursday 19 March at 6pm we will open our farmhouse doors to celebrate the changing season and the latest graduates of our Staying Grounded program.

We are thrilled to have Maria (Columbia) on the pass with our Head Chef Beth, cooking up a feast of early autumn peppers, fresh herbs and heart-warming baked goods (for those of you that like to read the menu ahead of time, you can get a sneak-peak below).

Ticket includes a three-course meal and a community-style experience like no other.

The best part? By purchasing a ticket you’ll be creating paid work for the incredible refugee and new migrant women in the Greater Geelong community.

Women are the primary farmers of the world, producing 60–80% of food in lower-income countries, often on farms smaller than five acres. Yet compared with men, they have far less access to land, capital, training and tools. Not less capability, just fewer resources.

Imagine what becomes possible if those gaps close: more food from small farms, more affordable organic produce, lower emissions, and stronger local food systems.

Closer to home, the average Victorian farmer is 57. Women hold 53% of agricultural degrees, yet make up just 26% of the full-time workforce, less than 20% of leadership roles, and only 9% of agricultural councils.

On our farm, it’s impossible to imagine the work without the women who keep things moving; Ariel across harvest, markets and logistics each week, and our interns Lila, Charise and Grace who’ve helped shift what our small farm can produce in a day.

Our next farm internship begins in June.

If you know a young woman curious about a career in food and farming, we’d love to hear from her. 🌱
