Seeing Fennel in the garden always makes me imagine the Faeries, who like to dance and play under the umbels. This cake felt like doing just that.

It was my mama’s birthday last weekend, and for the second year, she requested the Deep Chocolate Tart with Reishi & Rose 🤎🌹 Raspberries added for extra multidimension!

Super medicinal and deeply nourishing, made with pure ceremonial cacao. We just got a big order of (our favorite cacao to create treats with), so this tart was off the hook in decadence!

🩷💖 Inner Rainbow Cheesecake, slowly defrosting… You can eat it while it’s firmer, like an icecream cake, or wait a couple of hours til it softens and becomes a creamy, melt in your mouth experience.

Something I love about this type of treat is that they keep beautifully in the freezer for a long time. They don’t go bad or stale in a few days, so you don’t end up throwing them out or rushing to eat them. A couple of our friends in the States still have treats stashed in their freezer since we moved overseas in December, rationing them out and savoring each bite… (Love you 💖🩷)

Violet Magic 🌸✨💜🔮

Happy Beltane to my friends & more-than-human kin in the northern hemisphere!

Here in Western Australia, while we’re now in Autumn & just through the veil of Samhain, on the other side of the world in the Hudson Valley ~where a part of me still lives~ it’s Springtime. The first blooms are lifting their faces to the world: the daffodils, dandelions, and of course, violets.

I find myself reminiscing on this exquisite Vanilla Bean & Violet cheesecake, made for ’s The Blossoming last vernal season.

Violets have the gentlest way of touching our hearts and softening our consciousness, before we’re even aware they’re doing so! Their medicine is gently lymphatic, moistening and soothing, both internally & externally.

For me these precious flowers embody the playful, magical energy of the Faeries; asking us to sprinkle them into our remedies of all forms ~ desserts, elixirs, food and honeys ✨
