Rosy Lee Tea

Rosy Lee Tea This page will be used in future to announce and promote charity fund-raising afternoon teas! We love to bake.

Rosy Lee Tea is the perfect reason to celebrate your special occasion. Whether it be a birthday, kitchen tea, baby shower or just a girly day out Rosy Lee Tea can cater to suit your needs. Our High Tea packages feature delicious home-baked sweet and savoury treats alongside a refreshing pot of specialist tea (or coffee, if you prefer) and a glass of bubbly! We’re conscious of special dietary requi

rements so we can work out a menu to suit. Open exclusively for group bookings you’ll enjoy the view of our Hobart surrounds as well as admire our quirky teapot collection! We love what we do so much that a percentage for each event goes to our chosen charity. If your booking would like to fundraise for a particular charity or for your own organisation, we’ll happily support your cause. For bookings or more information contact [email protected] or phone 0422 828 865

Did we mention we cater too! So much so that you can order homemade cakes and sweet treats to go. With special dietary options available contact us to discuss what tasty treats we can bake for you.

I'm VERY excited to announce that Rosy Lee Tea is going into it's own commercial premises in May! There will be more announcements as we get nearer to moving in, but I'll just say that we are so pleased to be opening as a café/tearoom/restaurant in a lovely village, nearly to the Bruny Island Ferry, 25 minutes south of Hobart, called...SNUG! We hope to be called 'Snuggle-pots'...

VERY exciting news coming very soon...

Ok, here's the drum...We went to England for June, on a good knee. I had jet lag for a week. I did the Festival of Voices for a week (fantastic!)...in mid July, I came down with the worst flu for decades in Tassie, despite having the more expensive jab before our holiday. I was sick for weeks and now the awful words 'post viral syndrome' are being bandied about. I'm reading, knitting and watching quality TV while resting as much as possible. I WILL improve and the tearoom WILL go ahead!

Oh dear! The visit to the exercise physio today has revealed a number of things...it's going to be 6-8 weeks, if not 3 months, before I'll have the full use of my knee. Still, I start rehab next week on three days, so I'll be working hard to get back on deck...and stairs...and the tearoom...determination is my middle name and there are so many people far worse off that this little black duck!

OK! We're now registered as the first Hobart address on EatWith! It'll be fun to see what's going to happen next!!

23/12/2014

In the new year, we will be finalising the premises and opening the calendar for fundraising bookings. In the meantime, I have my knee up, recuperating from three procedures that have fixed it beautifully!
Merry Christmas to you all xx
