Indeed, whatever your taste, we're sure to keep you in good supply. The "Room with a View" is situated in the front of the hotel and overlooks the spectacular Carlton Gardens. The room is charmingly decorated with traditional paintings and prints, which makes it a relaxed setting for an enjoyable lunch or dinner. This causal bistro serves traditional "pub grub" as well as modern and imaginative dishes with a touch of European flair. Our menu always provides a mix of the traditional and the new, so you're sure to go home satisfied. The room holds 30-50 guests comfortably and with the hotel's proximity to many of Melbourne's top attractions, including the theatre district, makes it the ideal place to stop for a meal. The Pumphouse Hotel's best kept secret, The Conservatory Restaurant. The Conservatory is impressive and contemporary; the setting is perfect for any special occasion, whether you choose to celebrate with lunch, dinner or cocktails. By day, the newly refurbished Conservatory is filled with natural light spilling from its distinctive glass roof. This feature is hung with delicate bamboo lanterns which, in the evening, illuminate the venue and give a sense of romance. A cosy fireplace and the option of a dance floor add to the exceptional atmosphere and timeless style of the Conservatory. Catering to suit all your function needs and understanding your budget, this space can host up to 120 seated. Our central location also makes us a sensible and friendly alternative to the big city hotels.
