Did you know we bake most of our cakes in-house? Can confirm they are delicious 😋 Pictured: hummingbird cake. Fun factoid about the hummingbird cake - this cake originated in Jamaica and is named after the island’s national bird, the scissor-tail hummingbird. Flavours of banana and pineapple, reflective of its tropical origins. Try it when it’s next in the cabinet.

HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY TO US! Today marks 18 years owning Exeter General Store. We are truly lucky to be part of this community of Exeter and are grateful for all the amazing folk we’ve come to know. Our boys have grown up here (we were pregnant with Hamish when we started and Lachie followed shortly after) and we now almost have an adult in the house. To our customers (then and now) thank you for supporting our small family business through a GFC, bushfires and a global pandemic and for choosing us as your third place. To our awesome team over the years, thank you for helping to make EGS the special place that it is. Here’s to many more years. Much love - Craig & Lauren
