The Love for One Night rehearsal room has been filled with laughter, mischief and a whole lot of creative energy as the team bring a fresh perspective to this much-loved NORPA production.

With the Eltham Hotel recreated inside The Joinery, they’re mapping out the movement, cameras, projections and every detail of the show. Take a peek inside the rehearsal room in this behind-the-scenes video, where we’ve captured a little of the action.

Just before his Australian ‘Little Wide Open’ album tour with full band , Kev’s playing a couple of intimate solo shows to warm the voice box and we’re chuffed that one of them will be right here on the pub stage.

The acclaimed Singer/songwrite pens songs that meld Dylanesque lyrical mystique with rootsy production. Along with contemporaries like Angel Olsen and Kurt Vile, he represents a wave of sharp, indie-bred 2010s songwriters whose audiences have grown exponentially as they’ve come into their own.

All the way from the USA! FRUIT BATS..

Fruit Bats – formed as the project of Eric D. Johnson (USA) – are one of the most in-demand live acts in indie rock. Eric D. Johnson journeys in from the USA to take to the stage, solo, celebrating their 2026 album The Landfill.

The midwest, particularly the part of the midwest Eric D. Johnson hails from, is a largely flat expanse. Fruit Bats’ June 12, 2026 album The Landfill, released via Merge Records, draws inspiration from the landfill hills scattered across the largely flat Midwestern United States landscape. Some of these man-made hills become parks or trails; for Johnson, they symbolise the emotional weight of the past.

“The mountain that gives us this vantage point is made out of the trash that we’ve created,” he says. On the title track and lead single “The Landfill,” Johnson reflects on “a holy vision / of what could be / and couldn’t be / and could have been”. But what’s truly stunning is how, in his recontouring from could to couldn’t to could have been, he has lost none of the vulnerability that was brought to the foreground of his songwriting by 2025’s solo outing, Baby Man.

Unlike previous Fruit Bats albums shaped over long periods, Baby Man was created spontaneously using stream-of-consciousness “morning pages” that flowed directly into daily recording sessions. The result documented two intensely personal weeks and opened a new immediacy in Johnson’s songwriting that continues throughout The Landfill.

This week we welcome Australian folk diviner Leah Senior to the pub launching her newly released, fifth studio album Pt. Roadknight.

A shining star of the Australian folk scene for the past decade, Leah Senior’s past four records have received critical acclaim from global media and radio stations, with Leah touring extensively, sharing stages with the likes of Wilco, Iron & Wine, Simon Joyner, Jessica Pratt, and King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard.

HOWS THIS BLOKE! ❤️

A couple of mornings back Mark Gresser () pushed past the pub on the final stretch of his solo 5,300km walk across Australia.

He’s been at it for nearly 9 months raising money and awareness for youth mental health. Having set off in July last year from Steep Point in WA, the mainland’s most westerly point, he’s now a mere day or two away from reaching Cape Byron and completing the adventure.

Mark chose to support on this trek of a lifetime and in doing so has already raised over $110k. We’ve just donated our bit to this awesome cause too!

G’day folks, pub is shut today while we undertake a major power upgrade and safety update. While that happens we’ve taken the opportunity to celebrate our hard working team with our annual staff party.

Multiple ARIA award nominee and Australian Music Prize winner is bringing her crystal pure folk sounds to the pub for an intimate show, and a choir session too!

After starting Lisa Mitchell Choir in Naarm early 2025, Lisa will be bringing her serene and honeyed sessions to the choir curious across this run of shows in Regional NSW including one right here.

Participants will have a 60 min choir session with Lisa before doors open, where they will learn one of her songs in harmony arrangement, and then get to perform the song with her on the night. This special and exclusive offering is unauditioned and open to all who want to connect with their voice and heart and have the experience of performing in a relaxed, casual environment.

Singing together is always a good idea! Tickets are sold separately, both the show and choir session sessions are available now via the music tab on our website
