You are the rock of our business, the glue that holds our family together, and the person who has given so much to both. Without you, none of this would be possible.

Last Friday night, we held our Jewish/Greek night , an evening celebrating friendship, culture, food, music and the coming together of two communities.
Since then, we have received a number of abusive and hateful messages about the event. We have decided to share some of those messages, with all names and identifying details removed.
Quite honestly, how anyone could find hatred in an evening designed to bring people together is beyond belief.
What is even more upsetting is that people seem to forget there are real people on the receiving end of these messages. Before you send something hateful or abusive, please stop and think about the hurt and harm you are causing to others.
We will not be intimidated, and we will not allow hatred to dictate what we do.

We will continue to celebrate our communities, our cultures and, most importantly, our ability to come together with respect and friendship.
There is enough division in the world already. We choose unity.

Update: We’ve decided to name these people because they’ve made the conscious choice to publicly post their comments under their own names and continue to do so.
If they’re comfortable proudly attaching their names to these words, we’re happy to let them have their moment in the spotlight.
So, here it is their five minutes of fame, courtesy of their own words. We’ll leave it to everyone else to decide what they say about the people behind them.

The other night, we had the privilege of hosting the Shabbat Club of Melbourne for a beautiful celebration of Greek and Jewish culture.
Two proud cultures came together through family, food, music, love and shared values. It was wonderful to see the next generation celebrating life, honouring their heritage and representing their community with such passion and pride.
Congratulations to Chrystal and the Shabbat Club of Melbourne for organising such a memorable evening, and a special thank you to Yanni Baloukas for bringing the night alive with his music.
This is what community is all about different cultures coming together with respect, friendship and joy. 🇬🇷🤝✡️

Last night, we had the absolute pleasure of hosting the Shabbat Club of Melbourne and celebrating both Greek and Jewish culture.
It was wonderful to see everyone appreciating life, love and music, along with the values our two cultures share. At the heart of both communities, it’s all about family, music and food.
It was beautiful to see the next generation celebrating life, staying connected to their heritage and representing their community with such passion and pride.
Crystal from the Shabbat Club, well done on organising such a fantastic evening.
Yanni Baloukas you were absolutely amazing, playing both Jewish and Greek music and bringing everyone together.
And finally, thank you to our wonderful staff. It was hard work, but it was absolutely worth it.

What an amazing week. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came through our doors and truly supported our little family tavern. Seeing the restaurant full, the laughter, the atmosphere and so many familiar faces means more to us than you know.
