🍻 LAST WEEKEND AT THE TAVERN 🍻

It’s been a bloody busy week around here, and we’re already gearing up for another big weekend! Before we get stuck into what’s coming up, here’s a little look back at some of the action from last weekend. 👇

🏍️ Harley Owners Group — Mackay, Cairns & Townsville chapters rolled through!

🎓 Tully High School Reunion — celebrating 30 years and catching up with old mates!

🎂 A big birthday celebration Saturday night — thanks for choosing the Tavern to celebrate with us!

🚐 Bryce & Chelsea from called in for a visit along with who took on a whole crocodile!

🐊 PLUS More crocs! Because there’s never a shortage of crocodile celebrations around here!

A massive thank you to everyone who stopped in, celebrated with us, shared a few drinks and helped make it another cracker of a weekend.

WELCOME TO THE TAVERN, BORAS!

A very special addition has found his new home in the El Arish Tavern pool room!

A huge thank you to Douglas Timms for donating this beautiful deer, which was shot in the Melbourne Highlands by his uncle Peter over 30 years ago.

After all these years, he’s now taken centre stage here at the Tavern — and we reckon he fits in pretty bloody well.

And yes… for those wondering, his full name is Boras Henry Dear. 😉

Another little piece of history finding its way into the Tavern.

NEVER A DULL MOMENT AROUND HERE!

We got a call asking if we were still cooking at 8:00pm…

Of course not! The kitchen was well and truly closed, but we thought, *bu**er it* — we fired up a few pizzas and had some pies on offer.

And then, next minute… Luke Geiger rocks up and makes an appearance at the Tavern on a sleepy Wednesday night on his way to the Savannah in the round.

You just never know who’s going to walk through the door around here!

🏏🍻 OVER 40 YEARS BETWEEN DRINKS… AND THESE PHOTOS! 🍻🏏

It was an absolute pleasure to host the OG El Arish Cricket Team, who went on to win an incredible four premierships in the early ’80s!

After more than 40 years, it was bloody special to see old teammates and great mates back together, sharing a few drinks and plenty of championship memories.

A night full of stories, laughs, old photos and friendships that clearly stood the test of time.

Thanks for choosing the Tavern for such a special reunion — it was an honour to have you all here!

🚂 TODAY WAS ONE FOR THE BOOKS! 🚂

I’ve still got plenty to share from our weekend, but today definitely deserves its own post!

The Savannahlander made its way all the way down to the El Arish Tavern for lunch… at least we all wish it could!

A massive thank you to these guys for coming down here to the Tavern on there day off, what an absolute bunch of legends.

Safe to say, we scoped out the tracks to see how we could make his happen?

WHAT A NIGHT!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us tonight for our footy tipping party and the big game!

It was bloody great to see the b**r garden packed and everyone getting stuck into the footy, food and atmosphere.

And talk about a close call in the footy tipping! It was right down to ONE POINT, talk about close call.

Congratulations to our winners, and a massive thank you to Tony for jumping on the BBQ and keeping everyone fed pre game.

Thanks to everyone who came along and supported the Tavern and Cooper — you helped make it one bloody good night!
