Some celebrations are about more than a birthday… they’re about a life beautifully lived. ❤️
This weekend, we had the absolute privilege of hosting Jane’s 90th birthday celebration here at 1000 Reasons.
Twenty-four family members and dear friends travelled from far and wide to honour an extraordinary woman. As stories were shared around the table, it became clear that Jane’s adventurous spirit had touched so many lives. An avid sailor who even competed in the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, she has lived a life filled with courage, curiosity and adventure.
Her family chose our Feed Me Menu, allowing everyone to relax, share beautiful food and simply enjoy being together. There’s something so special about a table filled with shared plates, laughter and conversation—it creates the perfect atmosphere for making memories.
One of the greatest honours for us was being asked by Jane’s grandchildren to create a very special birthday cake. We called it “Motherhood.” At its centre stands the simple silhouette of a mother holding a child’s hand, surrounded by a circle of children—a tribute to the remarkable matriarch she has become and the generations whose lives she has shaped with her love.
Watching Jane smile as she was surrounded by the people who love her was a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.
