🤎 This is one of the hardest posts we’ve ever had to write. 🤎
After pouring so much of our hearts, time and energy into our little café, the time has come for us to close our doors.
There really aren’t words to describe how difficult it is to say goodbye.
This café was never just a business to us. It became a huge part of our lives — a place filled with early mornings, long days, laughter, tears, friendships, familiar faces and countless memories that we will carry with us forever.
Running a small business is hard. Really hard.
Behind the coffee, the smiles and the social media posts, are incredibly long hours, sleepless nights, rising costs and the constant pressure of trying to keep everything going.
Small businesses are often described as the heart of our communities, but the reality is that when things get tough, it can feel like you’re expected to somehow survive on your own.
For us, there simply hasn’t been the government support or assistance needed to help small businesses like ours through increasingly difficult times.
We fought incredibly hard to keep going. We sacrificed, adapted and gave everything we could because this café and the community around it meant so much to us.
But sometimes, giving everything you have still isn’t enough.
And that is perhaps the hardest part to accept.
To every single person who chose to support us — thank you.
Thank you for choosing a small local café.
Thank you for coming back week after week.
Thank you for bringing your families and friends.
Thank you for the conversations, the laughs and the kindness.
And thank you to those who stood beside us when things became incredibly difficult.
Some of you started as customers and became friends. Some of you may never realise just how much seeing your familiar face walk through the door meant to us on the days when we were struggling.
We gave this everything we had, and walking away is heartbreaking. There are so many things we wish could have been different, but more than anything, we want our final message to be one of gratitude.
We are incredibly proud of the little community that grew around our café. No closure can take away the friendships, memories and moments we shared.
To our customers, staff, friends, suppliers and everyone who supported us along the way — thank you for being part of our story.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for every coffee, every meal, every conversation, every recommendation and every bit of support. 🤎
Please continue to support your local small businesses whenever you can. Behind every one of them is a person or family giving everything they have to keep their dream alive.
This may be the end of this chapter, but we will never forget the people who made it so special.
