In 1969, Mr Wong and his family began a journey marked by resilience and determination, they collected unwanted chairs and tables to finish their original restaurant, YIP KEE. Through hard work and perseverance, they managed to reopen in 1970, transforming their vision into a thriving reality. Today, Yip AU stands as a tribute to that original establishment. It honours its founder, Wong Wah YIP, and then enduring legacy he built. The new restaurant celebrates the spirit of innovation and community that helped thefamily overcome adversity and succeed.

Introducing our very own noodle master, Chef Erich Wong, who is committed to preserving the ancient art of bamboo pole noodles making (竹升麵). With years of experience perfecting his craft, Chef Wong is one of the remaining few artisans who still make noodles the traditional way. The ancient technique, passed down from generation to generation, is a true work of art that’s slowly fading away. Come experience it soon for yourself and taste the difference of our in-house made dishes, crafted with love and expertise by Chef Wong, who is keeping this dying art alive.
