Happy birthday Durack! The official opening of our beautiful leafy suburb was 30 years ago, August 8 1996.

Durack turns 30

Good morning everyone. On August 8, Fairway Waters and Durack will turn 30, according to the plaque at the entry to our suburb. We are keen to hang some images on display at the Cafe, as part of birthday celebrations to celebrate our lakeside homes! Council don’t have many images at all - I’m wondering if anyone has some historic photos from back in the very first day of the development? Could you email any scans to [email protected]? Thanks! ☺️

Thanks to all community members who enjoyed our free ice cream and Dr Seuss scavenger hunt yesterday ☺️ A little lakeside adventure.

Hi Mums and Dads, to make the most of the last week of school holidays our support service Programming Manager has set out a Dr Seuss scavenger hunt! There are 12 different characters lakeside, at the little bridge near ‘I am Hair Wellness’, with a couple also hidden here in the cafe garden out the front near Woodlake Bvd. Please supervise your children near roads and water, and don’t remove the characters, just photograph them, so others can play too.

If your children can photograph all 12 characters and show them to cafe staff between 9am and 12 pm on Wednesday, they will get one free scoop of ice cream!🍨 ☺️ For three hours only… gluten free ice cream available and lactose free ice cream. See you soon!

Our Operations Manager, Madi, has raffle tickets at the cafe to support her mum’s fund raising efforts for the Cancer Council’s Relay for Life.

Miranda has recently completed chemotherapy and as part of her journey she is wanting to support the Cancer Council and the valuable work they do in our community. When you’re next in, please purchase a ticket to help Miranda, Madi’s Mum ###x 💛 💙
