🔔 The time has come! After over 13 years of owning/operating our family’s small business CJ’s Island Pizza, we’re moving on to the next chapter. As most of you know I have my own beautiful children now, as well as an additional business and splitting my time and attention between family, and two businesses meant that one of them was always not getting the attention it needed.
❤️ It’s bittersweet obviously as I’m stepping away from the successful food business our community has enjoyed for over a decade, where I’ve met so many great people that I still call friends today, and has provided me the freedom and opportunity to progress my life the way that it has. However with my passions and focus pulling me toward other directions in life, it’s time to hand the business over to someone who’s ready and able to give Straddie’s locals and guests the food service business they deserve.
🥳 The new owners are keeping the same staff, same pizza menu, and same preparation methods so you’ll be able to continue enjoying our delicious pizzas. Some exciting news for the island, the new owners are giving Straddie a Kebab shop (FINALLY)!!! THE OPENING TIME FOR THE KEBAB SERVICE WILL BE ANNOUNCED SOON AS THE OWNER’S ARE STILL UNDERSTANDABLY ORGANISING THEIR PLANS. Kebabs will be sold out of CJ’s all day, with the pizzas being available from 4:00pm as per usual. What I do know is THEY WILL DEFINITELY BE OPEN FOR LUNCH, and remain open until the evening.

🙏 My family and I would love to thank all of our staff over the years who have worked with us to deliver our product and make our business the success that it is! Special mention goes to Loyd who has been an absolute soldier for us at CJ’s and we’re so proud and happy to see him move on to his next chapter as well. �We’d also love to thank all of YOU, our locals and guests who have supported our business over the past decade. It’s truly been a pleasure serving you and we’re grateful to be accepted as a business and as a family by the longstanding community.

🍕 CJ’s will be open for pizzas from 4:00pm tomorrow (Thursday, 28/03/24) with the lunch time opening soon to follow at a date the new owners decide on and announce when they’re ready. I will be in store on Friday (29/03/24) from 4:00pm-6:00pm, and if you’re feeling like pizza or even if you’re just in the area, I’d really love to thank you in person so stop by and say hi before I’m out of the shop for good!
👏 We wish the new owners the best of luck and are supremely confident they will succeed in providing a great product and service to the community and its visitors! I can’t wait to get a CJ’s kebab.
