The olives we've all been waiting for have returned — and if history is anything to go by, they won't be around for long.

Straight from Spain, we've restocked:

🔥 Gordal Picante — the famous "fat" olives. Plump, juicy, meaty and packed with just the right amount of chilli heat.

🔥 Manzanilla Picante — a classic Spanish olive with a firm bite and a spicy kick.

🇮🇹 New from Italy — Savoiardone di Sardegna

You may know them as ladyfingers, but these are something altogether different.

The Savoiardone di Sardegna is a traditional Sardinian take on the classic Savoiardi biscuit, with a history dating back to the 14th century. Originally created for the noble courts of Savoy, the recipe eventually made its way to Sardinia, where it was lovingly reinterpreted into the soft, delicate biscuit enjoyed today.

Made with just three simple ingredients — fresh eggs, sugar and flour — these biscuits are wonderfully light, soft and full of old-world charm.

Perfect with coffee, layered into tiramisu, served alongside fresh berries and cream, or simply enjoyed as they are.

✨ Two tips for a traditional tiramisu:
• Dip, don't soak — briefly dip each biscuit into strong espresso. A quick dunk is all you need to keep the layers light and structured.
• Let it rest overnight — tiramisu is always better the next day, allowing the coffee, mascarpone and biscuits to meld into that classic silky texture.

Giusti Balsamic Vinegar of Modena 🇮🇹 - Recipe idea

Light in texture, perfumed and agreeably sharp, Giusti Balsamic Vinegar of Modena is known for its rich aroma, rounded acidity and fresh, gently spicy notes. It’s the kind of ingredient that quietly elevates almost anything.

To TRY this weekend: Herbed Lamb with Roasted Potatoes & Balsamic Sauce

For the sauce:
• 100ml Giusti Balsamic Vinegar of Modena
• 50g cold butter
• 2 tsp corn starch
• Salt & pepper

After cooking your lamb, use the same pan with the meat drippings. Add the balsamic vinegar and butter, then bring to a gentle simmer, whisking as it melts.
Mix the corn starch with a small amount of liquid to make a slurry, then add to the pan. Stir until glossy and slightly thickened, then remove from heat.
Slice the lamb into thick pieces and serve with roasted potatoes. Drizzle over the balsamic sauce and serve immediately.

Our fave is back in stock 🧀✨ Le Dauphin Double-Crème

This beautiful little hexagonal cheese is always a crowd-pleaser — rich, silky and deliciously creamy when perfectly ripe.

Made from cow’s milk collected from the lush green mountain pastures surrounding the Rhône Valley, Le Dauphin takes its name from the historic French term for the heir apparent to the throne. Fitting, really… because it feels rather regal on a cheese board.

The wooden box does more than look lovely — it protects the cheese and creates the perfect little environment for maturation, helping it ripen into that soft, luscious texture we all love.

Best enjoyed fully ripened, with fresh bread, fruit, or simply a spoon if no one is watching!

We’re looking for a passionate foodie to join our little team, mainly Fridays and Saturdays.

All training will be provided, but we’d love someone who is keen to learn, loves beautiful food, and enjoys chatting with people. We’re lucky to have the loveliest customers, and we’re looking for an extra pair of hands to help us on our busiest days.

A little reminder - Mother’s Day is this Sunday 💛

We have a large cheese delivery arriving Friday afternoon, so it’s the perfect time to pop in and pick up something special for the weekend.

If you’re planning something for Mum (or someone just as special), feel free to message us to pre-order and we’ll have everything ready for you to collect on Saturday.

Not sure what to choose? We’re always happy to help — we can put together a cheese and charcuterie board from $80, tailored to you.

We’ll be closing at 12:30pm, so make sure you come in early.
