Introducing The General Store After Hours… We’re excited to open the doors to our beautiful store for private, after hours events. An intimate setting created for relaxed gatherings & memorable evenings, just in time for the Festive Season.

Our venue welcomes up to 30 guests for a stand-up affair with three beautifully curated rooms to explore, mingle and make your own.

Settle in and enjoy generous Tasmanian grazing platter & roaming canapés, accompanied by a carefully selected range of Tasmanian w**es, beers, spirits & more

We have a special Father’s Day experience for our wh**ky loving Dads out there.

We are very excited to have Erin join us from Overeem Distillery Saturday 5th from 11am-2pm

Overeem Wh**ky is a celebrated Tasmanian wh**ky producer creating distinct single-malt expressions known globally.
Erin is their Brand Ambassador, traveling across Australia to share the story and history of the Overeem family distillery.

This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your dad in and perhaps go home with a delicious bottle or two!

Gather around our rustic long tables and celebrate the magic of Christmas in the heart of winter.

Join us on Sunday 26th July for a leisurely three-course roast lunch in the warmth of The Conservatory. Surrounded by soaring windows overlooking the rolling countryside, it’s the perfect setting to slow down, share a beautiful meal, and enjoy the cosy charm of the season.

We’ll be serving a festive menu featuring:

❄️ Truffled cauliflower soup with toasted hazelnuts & buttery bread

🎄 Traditional roast lunch with crispy root vegetables, buttery greens, rich gravy & all the trimmings

🍮 Christmas pudding with brandy custard & vanilla bean ice cream

Warm up with spiced mulled w**e, or choose from our selection of premium Tasmanian w**es, beers and spirits available to purchase throughout the afternoon.

While many of you have joined us over the last few years at the Tasmanian General Store on Steele Street, the Conservatory itself has been quietly waiting in the wings… hosting beautiful events, but far from its original rhythm.

So, we think it’s time.

For one weekend only, we’re reviving the Conservatory experience — think long lunches, familiar faces, and our signature Tasmanian gourmet platters, perfectly paired with local w**es, all set within that stunning, light-filled space you know and love.
