As the winter school holidays draw to a close, George and I just wanted to say thank you.
Thank you for supporting our little wonky café and allowing this dream to become our everyday.
I’ll be honest… we’re in the thick of a sleep regression over here, so there have been a few extra coffees, a few tired mornings and a lot of running on love.
But every time George gets to come in, make a little babycino beside me, wave at customers or simply grow up surrounded by kindness and community, I’m reminded why we built this place.
It isn’t always easy, but it feels like a far richer childhood than one where Mum is always somewhere else, working just to pay the bills.
My hope is that one day George remembers more than the hard work. I hope he remembers the conversations, the familiar faces, the laughter, the smell of coffee, and a community that quietly helped raise him.
When someone tells me Kindfolk is their favourite café in the South West, my little heart lights up. Because I hope we’re doing more than serving coffee and cake. I hope we’re creating a place that feels like your third space… somewhere you can arrive exactly as you are, and feel at home.
