Dear customers Red Ginger Thai will be closed from Monday 3rd August while we take a hard earned break. Looking at reopening in September Hopefully we will be able to confirm a sale by then. Thank you for all your support over the past ten years it’s been great.

Our apologies to those who we couldn’t accommodate with dine in and takeaway tonight.
For the first time ever we have had to stop accepting walk in tables, turn off the online ordering as well as take our phone off the hook. Our kitchen is extremely understaffed with Kate cooking most of the menu by herself with great assistance from Jekey. We were expecting a busy long weekend but tonight everything hit us at once. We pushed takeaway out to as long as we thought was acceptable while trying to keep waiting times for tables as low as possible. A very stressful time for all staff tonight but they got through it and a big thank you well done to them.
Then to receive a 1 star Google review from a customer (who I choose not to name as I am a bigger person than they are) when couldn’t do a takeaway for them was a real kick in the guts.

UPDATE
Received a call from police today to say that they have charged someone with the burglary. Let’s hope that the judicial system isn’t too lenient.

Anyone recognise this scum. Thought they would like some Thai food around 01:10am this morning. But after breaking in and finding we were not there to cook their food. They decided to take our till instead. Police are investigating.
