Book Review from Tara

1915 by Sally Murphy.

A fictional story based of true accounts about the 11th battalion in the war at Gallipoli. The story follows Stanley, a school teacher from Capel, just outside of Bunbury and his experience in the 11th battalion. They start at Cairo, Egypt taking a photo on one of the pyramids, then follow on to travelling through to the Dardenelles and the events that followed at Gallipoli. Stanley suffers through loss of close friends, injury, freezing conditions.
The story is a mix of story line and letters and gives you a small inside to the conditions that our ANZAC's went through for that year.

If anyone is interested in the Great War, it is a good book to read 😃

The Warm Up Cafe is expanding its Team and operating hours. We are looking for someone available for Casual hours, who has a friendly and welcoming temperament. The job entails making and serving coffees, cooking and preparing food, customer service and cleaning of the cafe.

Cafe hours are 7:00am to 1:00pm, Monday to Friday
