What an incredible night it was ✨

Last night we attended the CDU Boab Breeze Sunset Social as a food vendor catering for students and teachers. Thank you CDU Student Life or trusting us to be a part of this wonderful event. 🥰🌺🍜

As soon as the clock hits 4pm a huge line of people were waiting for our Laksa, and for the whole 3 hours the line didn’t stop. Honestly we didn’t know what to expect, but definitely not that. 😅

We are truly greatly for all the amazing opportunities we’ve received as we continue to improve each day preparing for more opportunities to come. 🔥

This past weekend was one of the hardest we’ve had since taking over The Purple Lady. We’d spent all of Friday setting up, 8 staff, full prep, genuine excitement. By 7pm I was sending people home. By 8pm we were packing up.

The part that broke my heart wasn’t the long hours or the money. It was watching trays of freshly prepared food get thrown away.

For a moment, I questioned everything.

But here’s what I know: growing means taking risks, and not every risk pays off. This wasn’t a failure, it was an expensive lesson in being more selective about the events we choose.

Running a small business isn’t the highlight reel you see online. It’s showing up the next day, a little wiser, and doing it again.

To everyone who supports us, thank you. Every bowl, every share, every recommendation keeps us going more than you know. 💜
