Sydney, meal sorted! ? If you live in Country or close to Bass Hill (Western Sydney), you're in luck. Delicious Syrian food awaits you at . Make sure you order their most popular dish, the Damascus Mixed Plate.
Before the lockdown, Chef Talal said his restaurant, despite being fairly new, averaged at least 40 people a day. Prior to the restaurant, Chef Talal ran a successful catering business, Syria Kitchen Australia, which he built all on his own. This lockdown is especially hard on Talal as he is not eligible for much government support due to his visa.
We asked Talal the below questions:
1. What did you know about Australia before coming here?
I knew that Australia was a safe country that guarantees freedom to its citizens.
2. If you weren't running a business, what would you be doing right now?
I would be doing literally any job, as there is nothing he hates the most than sitting at home doing nothing.
3. What's your fave food?
Grilled Fish
Our based team members can't wait to visit Damascus Restaurant as soon as the lockdown is over!
