Sacred Heart School Beagle Bay

27/09/2026

We love this beautiful video created by Chisholm Catholic College, capturing their recent visit to our lands here in Beagle Bay. 💙

Through our Yadha Muru Foundation Country–City Partnership, we have been fortunate to welcome Chisholm students and staff to Beagle Bay, where they have spent time learning on Country, sharing experiences with our students and staff and gaining a deeper understanding of our culture, community and way of life.

Yadha Muru means “good path”, and that is exactly what this partnership is about — walking a good path together, building genuine relationships, learning from one another and creating new opportunities for our young people.

Thank you to Chisholm Catholic College for creating this wonderful reflection of your time with us, and to the Yadha Muru Foundation for continuing to support this important partnership.

We look forward to continuing on this good path together. ❤️

It is such a special feeling to see the creativity, talent and stories of our students represented in the annual Angelico Art Exhibition in Perth.

We were especially excited to have all of our students’ artworks nominated for the Primary First Nations Award a wonderful recognition of their creativity, culture and unique perspectives. What an achievement!

We were also thrilled to have a group submission, as well as artwork exhibited by our secondary students.

We invite our families and community to take a walk through the virtual exhibition tour and have a look at the incredible artwork on display.

We are eagerly awaiting the return of all our students’ artworks to school and when they arrive, we cannot wait to share their beautiful creative pieces with everyone.

You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves, we certainly are!

𝐁𝐈𝐆 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐓𝐋𝐄 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬!

Our littlest explorers headed off for a day of crocodiles, birds, splashing and plenty of excitement!

There were some very brave faces near the crocs, lots of curious questions and by the end of the day… probably more water on the kids than in the splash area!

Days like this are such an important part of AFaFE, giving our youngest children opportunities to learn through play, exploration, language, relationships and real-life experiences alongside their families and educators.

Lots of learning, lots of laughter and some very special memories made together.

𝐖𝐞 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞 ❤️💙💛

Our Year 3/4 students shared an important message at assembly this week by sharing what to do if anyone in our school is feeling worried or unsafe. They reminded us to tell a trusted adult – someone at home, at school or in our community – and to keep asking for help if we still don’t feel safe.

It’s a great conversation to have at home too. Have you talked with your children about who their safe adults are? Ask them to name the people they know they can go to if they are ever worried, scared or need help.

Can you recognise some of the people in our community the students suggested?

As our students prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on Thursday, 24th September, we ask our Sacred Heart community to pray for them as they continue this special journey of faith.

May they be filled with the gifts of the Holy Spirit, strengthened in their faith and supported by the love and prayers of our community as they take this important step in their Catholic journey.

Please keep our students, their families and sponsors in your prayers as we look forward to celebrating this special occasion together.

Week 7 was a wonderful opportunity for collaboration and learning at Sacred Heart!

We were fortunate to welcome Miss Bel, Miss Nikki and Mr Jason from Chisholm Catholic College. During their visit, they generously shared their ideas, knowledge and skills, introducing our Secondary and Year 5/6 students to new and creative textile projects using the sewing machines kindly donated to us by their school.

Mr Jason also worked with our students to create jet fighters using our new tools and machinery, purchased through our Country City Partnership and the Yadha Muru Foundation.

How lucky are we to have opportunities like these to learn new skills, share our knowledge and create together! We are incredibly grateful for the generosity and collaboration that makes these experiences possible.

SCIENCE… OR A WORKOUT?

Our Year 3/4 students have been exploring how liquids can turn into solids — and discovered that science can be pretty exhausting!
The experiment was simple:
- Add cream
- Pack it in ice
- Put it in a backpack
- Run, shake, run, shake… and KEEP SHAKING!
(Secret ingredient - a Year 3/4 class with lots of energy!)

The result? ICE CREAM! 🍦

Science you can eat is definitely our favourite kind! ❤️💙💛

💙❤️💛 Fella’s Day Fun 💛❤️💙

What a fantastic Fella’s Day celebration! Our morning began with a beautiful liturgy led by our Pre Primary students, celebrating all the wonderful dads, grandads, uncles and special men in our children’s lives.

Then the fun really began with our Colour Run, proudly supported by Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service who shared the importance of keeping our lungs healthy and staying smoke and vape-free! There was colour, slime, water, laughter and plenty of very messy kids and adults!

Mr Preston put the fire truck to good use to make sure we all stayed hydrated and BRAMS provided some amazing prizes, so there are definitely a few very lucky fellas out there!

We even heard a few students declare it was “the best day ever!” — and judging by the smiles, we think they might be right!

Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the day so special. Happy Father's Day to all you mob! ❤️
