ID Connect is a community event that brings together government agencies and community organisations in one location to help people access identification and other essential supports.
For many people, obtaining a birth certificate, photo ID card, learner driver licence or Tax File Number can be a significant barrier to accessing employment, training, healthcare, banking, housing and government services.
ID Connect aims to simplify that process by providing practical, face-to-face support in a welcoming environment. It also connects people with a range of other supports, including Medicare, Centrelink, Working with Children Checks, NDIS Worker Screening and more.
Rather than navigating multiple agencies and systems, attendees can connect with a range of organisations in one place and receive assistance to understand what they need, complete paperwork and access the right supports.
