Do you want the chance to play during the week of the NSW Open. Golf NSW has unveiled a new 2 person Ambrose event over a 9 hole format. The competition has 3 categories, being Men, Women and mixed. You can play as many qualification rounds as you like during the qualifying period (April 2026-October 2026) at participating golf clubs.

Cowra Golf Club is proud to be a part of the competition and will hold qualifying events on the last Sunday of the months of June, July, August and September. So grab your partner and try to qualify for the state final. Fees are only $5 per team (plus ordinary green fees).

The top 12 players in each category will proceed to the final. Throw your hat in the ring and have a go. In a similar event held by Golf NSW last year, 2 players from Cowra qualified for the final.

We regret to inform you that the Ben Core Electrical Putt for Cash Competition is POSTPONED this coming Friday 5 June 2026.

This is primarily due to the availability of Committee members who run the competition.

We apologise to all our regular patrons and supporters of the competition. We will continue to have our Friday night meat tray and voucher raffle, along with the bistro open for a tasty meal.

We will be back in the swing of things on Friday June 12 with up to 10 chances to win $2000.

Please see attached the draw for Round 1 of the 2026 Datavoice Communications Cowra - Telstra Partner 2-Person Ambrose. Also attached is the cart booking sheet.

Nominations coloured orange are asked to please pay prior to Saturday to make everything run smoother on the day. Please note that if you wish to play both days and be eligible for overall prizes, you must pay the full entry fee upfront.

Unfortunately, we have not quite been able to accommodate all cart bookings at this stage. If any members are not playing this weekend and would be willing to lend their cart out, we would be very appreciative.
