Well it’s taken a few months but finally the cafe has reopened. Please support the new cafe new look. New menu new team and new name Island coffee corner. Support this great couple.

As many would be aware by now we have unfortunately had to close. While I could write a book about the why’s. I will keep it very short. We are currently in very long and painful negotiations with centre management. We have a beautiful local young couple who will take over the cafe. And bring a fresh new look and menu. We developed some lovely friendships along our journey. I still look forward to catching up with many of you. Thanks to everyone who did support us in the ups and downs in the last few years. But it is time for us to move on. Rich & Jade

Staff wanted…
Must have food handlers or willing to obtain. Role includes cleaning, preparing food as directed, making coffee, serving customers, clearing tables, dishes etc. hours required 9.15 - 12.15 Monday to Friday. Weekend work a possibility if required. Role has potential to be filled by multiple people if not available across all five days…message for further details.

We are open all Easter weekend including Good Friday. Come along on Friday and watch all the people in shock that the supermarkets are closed. Very entertaining. 😂

As many would be aware, coffee prices around the world are sky rocketing. It is now effecting us in Aust. Prices are increasing by some 30% per kg. We have been told some Melb coffee shops have increased prices by 30 cents per cup. We however have worked very hard with our suppler and we thank them so much for working with us. Looking after the small guy! Therefore will not be increasing our prices, in the foreseeable future. But we will be scraping our loyalty program. To absorb the increase.
So come and enjoy our great tasting coffee at old prices.

You know there are many highs and lows when owning your own hospitality business. One of the best things is the relationships you develop with the customers who stick by you even though you have to charge more than other close by businesses because your overheads are much much higher. It’s these people who are the reason we stick at it. They become your family. So when we found out today the world lost one of the best, we were gutted. She lived her life her way. Not the best way, but her way, despite health problems. She knew the risks and was content with the consequences. The world is most definitely the worse for her loss. She may be gone, but I know she will never be forgotten, certainly not by us. I don’t need to mention her name, she knows who she is, you were loved and will never be forgotten. We feel privileged to have been able to call you a friend. Rest In Peace lovely lady ###

We are happy to say we are back in business as of tomorrow. Still not at full capacity as new density limits have been put in place. For the remainder of this week we will be doing takeaway and Menulog only. We still have some staff recovering. Thank you to many of you for your well wishes and support.
