We've got about 25 empty green coffee sacks to give away, perfect for the garden, storage, w**d matting, or whatever you can dream up.

We've also got a sturdy plyboard crate that our coffee machine was shipped in. Solid bit of ply, could be handy for storing tools, firewood, or kids' bits and bobs. 1000mm wide x 750mm long x 680mm high

All free to a good home. First in, best dressed.

Hey Guys!

We’re Ross and Kiandra Buchanan, a husband-and-wife team who have called Margaret River home for almost 5 years. We operate Record Coffee Roasters, your local boutique specialty coffee roastery and we’re excited to be sharing our passion with our community.

Our journey started in the Dandenong Ranges in Melbourne, where we launched Hills Coffee Co. sharing specialty coffees locally. When we moved to the glorious South West we took a little break, and after taking some time to reset, and dreaming of what’s next, we’re back with a new name, new home and fresh energy.

📀 Record Coffee Roasting was born from our love of specialty coffee, music, and connection. Just like a vinyl has two sides, so does our menu:
Side A: approachable classics and crowd pleasing flavour profiles.
Side B: adventurous, experimental and distinct coffees.

We roast only high-grade arabica coffee, sourced from socially and environmentally responsible farms and importers. For us, coffee is like wine - full of diversity, distinct regional and varietal profiles, and worth exploring with care and transparency.

In July we opened our Roastery + Tasting Room. Come taste what’s roasting, take home a can of beans, or enjoy a takeaway while we put a record on.

We have quite a bit of reading material on coffee in our household.

Some favourites we come back to time and time again are The World Atlas of Coffee by James Hoffmann, and How To Make Coffee by Lani Kingston (both pictured). The first for its beautiful imagery and diverse coverage of topics, and the latter for it's easily digestible scientific breakdowns.

Some other gems include Specialty Coffee by Katrien Pauwels and Modulating the Flavour Profile of Coffee by Rob Hoos. No Roasters bookcase is complete without Coffee Roasting Best Practices and The Coffee Roaster's Companion by Scott Rao either - often the starting point for many.

Aside from devouring Standart each quarter (golly what a great mag!) we've also managed to get our hands on Brewing Justice by Daniel Jaffee and are excited to make a start on that too!
