📺🛰️ That’s a wrap on our Boost-A-Business week with TV Steve- but we had to finish by sharing the story behind the man himself! 💙

For Steve, this career started long before TV Steve had a name.

At just 15 years old, Steve completed work experience with a local technician and got his first taste of electronics and TV antenna work. He knew pretty quickly that electronics was what he wanted to do.

At 16, he left school and headed to TAFE, spending the next three years completing his Electronic Technician Certificate and gaining the qualifications that would become the foundation of his career.

Fast forward to 2015, and Steve began doing TV antenna repairs part time. As technology changed, so did the jobs- suddenly it wasn’t just antennas, but smart TVs, apps and all the technology that comes along with them. 📺

Then in 2022, Steve decided it was time to back himself, follow his passion and go full time.

And TV Steve was officially born! 🙌

Steve continued investing in his skills, completing further training in Wi-Fi networking and security camera systems and installation, as well as gaining his security licence.

And apparently going full time was a pretty good decision… because by 2026 the business had grown so much that Steve realised he couldn’t keep doing it alone! 😂

Enter Lochie 👋 who has now joined Steve, turning TV Steve into a two man team and marking another exciting chapter for this growing local business.

Today, Steve and Lochie can help with:

📡 Supplying & installing antennas
📺 Mounting TVs
📱 TV apps, Foxtel boxes & technology assistance
🖨️ Printers & Wi-Fi-related products
🛰️ Correct Starlink installation
🌐 Wi-Fi network cabling
📹 Security camera systems for homes, businesses & farms

And after learning Steve’s story this week, we think there’s something pretty cool about seeing a passion that started during work experience at 15 years old eventually become his own growing local business.

So a massive THANK YOU to Steve and Lochie for being part of our Boost-A-Business week and for trusting us to share what you do. ❤️

Supporting local businesses isn’t just about where you spend your money- it’s about supporting the people who have taken a chance, built something for themselves, continued learning and created local jobs along the way.

🛰️🌐 Struggling with internet at home or on the property? TV Steve might be able to help with that too!

We’ve already talked TVs, antennas and security cameras this week, but there’s another service from TV Steve that’s definitely worth putting in the spotlight- Starlink installations! 🛰️

For those living out of town, on farms or in areas where getting a decent internet connection can sometimes be a battle, Starlink has become a popular option- but then comes the fun part… actually working out where and how to install it. 😂

That’s where having someone local like Steve comes in handy.

Steve can help with getting your Starlink equipment properly installed and positioned, taking the hassle out of trying to work it all out yourself- particularly when mounting and roof access are involved.

It’s another example of just how varied Steve’s work can be. One day it might be an antenna, another a security camera setup, and the next a Starlink installation. 📡📹🛰️

And for those of us who would open the Starlink box, look at all the pieces and immediately decide “yeah… I’ll call someone”- now you know who. 😂

📹👀 Who’s keeping an eye on things when you’re not there?

Whether it’s your home, shed, workshop, farm or business, security cameras can give you that extra peace of mind- and it’s another reason you might be giving TV Steve a call!

As part of this week’s Boost-A-Business, we wanted to highlight a side of Steve’s work that some locals might not actually realise he does- security camera and CCTV systems. 📹

Having cameras set up around your property can be handy for everything from checking what’s happening while you’re away, to keeping an eye on vehicles, equipment, entrances and those areas you simply can’t see from inside.

And when it comes to something as important as security, there’s something pretty nice about being able to call a local bloke rather than dealing with someone hundreds of kilometres away. 🙌

Of course, Steve is also the man locals know for TV and antenna work- but we thought the security camera side deserved its own little spotlight this week!

So if security cameras have been sitting on your “we really should get onto that” list, maybe this is your reminder. 😂📹

📺📡 THIS WEEK’S BOOST-A-BUSINESS IS… TV STEVE! 🔧

You’ve probably heard the name TV Steve around Corowa and the surrounding district- and this week, it’s Steve’s turn to get the Boost-A-Business treatment!

Don’t let the name fool you either… there’s a bit more to TV Steve than just TVs! 😂

Steve provides a range of TV, antenna and related services for homes and businesses throughout our local area- from getting your TV reception sorted and antenna work through to helping with the technology and systems that keep our homes connected.

And for a local operator like Steve, so much of the business is built through word of mouth, recommendations and locals supporting locals- which is exactly why we started Boost-A-Business in the first place. ❤️

You might also recognise the TV Steve name from around the wider community, with the business listed as a valued local sponsor in the Electrical & TV category of the Howlong Grapevine.

Throughout this week we’ll be sharing more about Steve, exactly what he can help you with and the services TV Steve offers- because there may be a few things you didn’t realise you could call him for! 👀📡

🕯️💗 That’s a wrap on our Boost-A-Business week with Lansy’s Creations! ✨

A huge thank you to Lana for reaching out and getting involved with our little campaign. ❤️

At the beginning of the week, we shared that Lana had wondered whether her business was “big enough” to be part of Boost-A-Business- and we hope this week has shown exactly why the answer was YES!

Boost-A-Business isn’t about how many employees you have, whether you have a shopfront or how big your business is. It’s about celebrating the people in our community who have taken an idea, backed themselves and created something of their own. 🙌

And Lana has certainly done that!

From buying a simple candle making kit at home to now creating around 100 different scents, hand pouring soy based candles and making melts, diffusers and room sprays, attending markets and even adding Diamond Dot Art to her growing range- Lansy’s Creations has come a long way. 🕯️🌸💎

All while Lana is raising five kids, working four days a week and spending plenty of weekends during market season sharing her creations with customers. We’re tired just thinking about it! 😂👏

What we especially love is that behind every product is a real local person. Every candle purchased, market stall visited, Facebook post shared or recommendation to a friend genuinely supports Lana and helps her little business continue to grow.

So a massive THANK YOU to Lana and Lansy’s Creations for trusting us to share your story this week. We’ve loved having you as part of Boost-A-Business! 💕

And remember- supporting local doesn’t always mean supporting the biggest businesses. Sometimes it means supporting someone creating something pretty special from their own home. ❤️

For our third Boost-A-Business post with Lansy’s Creations, we’re putting the spotlight on the products themselves- because with around 100 scents to choose from, there’s a LOT to smell your way through! 😂

Whether you’re shopping for a birthday, thank-l you gift, teacher present, something for a friend or simply treating yourself, Lana has plenty to choose from.

From her hand poured soy based candles to melts, diffusers and room sprays, you can find a fragrance to suit just about every home and every person. And if choosing from around 100 scents sounds slightly overwhelming… just tell Lana what sort of fragrances you normally love and let her point you in the right direction! 🌸

What makes it even nicer is knowing you’re not grabbing something mass produced off a shelf. You’re buying something handmade by a local mum, and every purchase is supporting the little business she has built from scratch.

Lana is also regularly out and about at markets, so keep an eye on Lansy’s Creations to see where she’ll be next- have a smell, say hello and find your new favourite scent. 🛍️

💗 Christmas isn’t all that far away either, so now might be a good time to start thinking about locally made gifts and stocking fillers!

We’ve loved having something a little different for this week’s Boost-A-Business and showing that the campaign really is for every kind of local business- big or small.

🌸 From a home candle kit to markets, field days and beyond! 🕯️

One of the things we love about Lansy’s Creations is seeing just how far a small idea can grow.

What started at home with a simple candle making kit soon turned into local markets, a growing range of handmade products and now opportunities to take Lansy’s Creations to much bigger events too.

This year, Lansy’s Creations is even listed among the exhibitors at the Henty Machinery Field Days, putting Lana’s handmade creations in front of visitors from well beyond our local area.

And while she’s busy growing her own business, Lana has also found ways to give back locally, including donating a Lansy’s Creations hamper to support the Corowa Wahgunyah Good Friday Appeal.

We think that’s pretty special- a busy mum building something from the ground up, supporting community events and continuing to put herself and her products out there.

It’s a great reminder that small local businesses can have a big impact. 💗

We’re proud to have Lansy’s Creations as this week’s Boost-A-Business and can’t wait to keep sharing more of Lana’s story.
