Now hiring – Short Order Cook / Kitchen Hand
THE BEES KNEES EATERY is on the lookout for a mature-minded individual to help us with the preparation and service of our simple but delicious range of food items. Think lots of Bacon & Egg rolls, Avocado Smash, Acai Bowls, Burgers, Toasties, etc., and prepping ingredients for same. If you can also make a great coffee (or are prepared to learn)… even better!
This role will require the individual to work THREE or FOUR days per week (negotiable), however either Saturday OR Sunday availability is important. We want our team members to work hard but also have time for a balanced life. A permanent and fixed-days opportunity is available for a great candidate… possibly even full-time if that is what you are looking for.
About you:
• You may have had experience in a commercial (cafe or restaurant) kitchen, or you may simply be a passionate and well-organised home cook.
• You are available to consistently work either Saturdays OR Sundays, from as early as 6.00am, including school holidays and long weekends, and are available to work another two or three weekdays.
• You have an excellent understanding of basic food safety and hygiene standards.
• You can demonstrate a sound understanding of safe work practises.
• You have an easy-going and friendly nature, and can work well with others in a workplace that values positivity and cooperation above all else.
• You are reliable, well-presented, honest and conscientious.
