Dhom’s Kitchen is inspired by the many small family run restaurants seen across Thailand known as a ‘Hong Aharn’ or ‘Little Restaurant’. These restaurants produce simple home cooking using quality, locally grown, seasonal ingredients. Through their time at the Noosa Farmers Market, Dhom and Spencer have established valuable relationships with many of the market's producers. They have also establis

hed a small market garden to supply their restaurant with fresh herbs, vegetables and fruits. An ongoing interest in Thai food history and techniques involves Dhom and Spencer travelling to Thailand each year to document traditional cuisine and collect material to add to their ever-growing culinary library. They also organise culinary tours to Thailand. A range of frozen curry sauces, curries and delicious snacks are available for sale from the restaurant.

A walk through the garden as the seasons change. 🌱

Checking on the gooseberry tree, picking fresh lemongrass, bok choy, lettuce, and bananas, and enjoying the beauty of traditional Thai flowers like butterfly pea and champak. The fragrance of the champak flowers always brings back fond childhood memories.🩵

So much of the inspiration behind our Thai cooking begins right here in the garden. 🌿
