Today we stepped away from the coffee machine and went right back to where it all begins, a coffee plantation here in beautiful Bali! ☕🌿
We were taken through the entire process of growing and preparing coffee, from the coffee trees right through to roasting the beans. One of the highlights was meeting their pet Luwak! 🦝
For those who don’t know, the Luwak eats the coffee cherries and naturally removes the outer fruit layer from the bean. The beans are then carefully collected, washed seven times, and roasted to create one of the world’s most unique coffees.
After the tour, we were treated to a tasting board featuring a range of coffees and teas, and the boys even got to have a go at roasting the coffee beans themselves! 🔥☕
It was a fascinating experience and a great reminder of the incredible journey every cup of coffee takes before it reaches your hands.
